Who can Apply:
This Visa is Suitable for
- senior managers and specialist employees who wish to undertake a temporary work assignment in the UK.
Who can Qualify / Basic Requirement:
- Aged 18 or over;
- company – Sponsorship license
- currently working for a business or organisation that is linked to your UK sponsor by common ownership or control, or by a joint venture on which you are sponsored to work;
- 12 months experience
- You have enough money to support yourself without relying on public funds;

Duration of the visa:
Senior or Specialist Worker visa holders can stay in the UK for up to:
- 5 years in any 6-year period if they receive an annual salary of less than £73,900
- 9 years in any 10-year period if they receive an annual salary of £73,900 or more.
Settlement;
The UK Senior or Specialist Worker visa does not lead to indefinite leave to remain (ILR). Those wishing to move from ICT to ILR will need to consider applying for a different visa type. Visas that provide a direct route to ILR include the following:
If you are considering applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain, in most cases, you will be able to do so after living in the UK for 5 years on a qualifying visa. With some visas, such as the Global Talent visa, it is possible to gain ILR after just 3 years. With ILR, you can then apply for British citizenship 1 year later.

- Licence fee – 538 for sponsorship
How long it takes:
- Once you’ve applied online, proved your identity and provided your documents, you’ll usually get a decision on your visa within: 3 weeks, if you’re outside the UK. 8 weeks, if you’re inside the UK.
- You may be able to pay to get a faster decision. How you do this depends on whether you’re outside the UK or inside the UK.
